Fine Art with Integrated Foundation

My work explores the limits of materials by placing them in situations where a dominant material exists at risk of collapse. Through this process, I investigate ideas of waste, value, tension, and vulnerability, using physical experimentation as a method of inquiry.

I began my practice by collecting materials from my home, objects that once had importance and personal meaning. By reworking and re-contextualising these materials, I challenge their original purpose and create new relationships through my imagination.

Audience engagement is a key aspect of my practice. In contemporary media culture, individuals often spend only a few seconds engaging with content, forming quick and frequently stereotypical judgments. In contrast, gallery spaces offer the opportunity for prolonged observation. I use this environment to encourage viewers to slow down, look more carefully, and question their assumptions. My work challenges dominant ideologies reinforced through media, particularly those related to gender, class, and race.
