I am a mixed media artist. I work primarily with oil paint, but incorporate fabric, collage and ceramics under an aesthetic umbrella to create distinct collections. My own experiences inspire my work thematically, revealing my personal perception to the viewer. Whilst studying at reading university I have developed my practice, skill-wise and efficiency wise by experimenting with new techniques, materials and collaborations. Fabric collage and embroidery elements have become staples throughout my work, especially as I have been developing my latest collection inspired by the experience of the natural world. I have explored naturalistic forms to convey the loneliness of singular experiences. Noticing, how the departure from the man-made world can bring up feelings of discontent and unpredictability.
